People often ask me about dating in Dubai, about it's uniqueness and challenges, and I believe I can share from my own experience, as I have lived here for over 10 years and used to be single most of that time, how to make it enjoyable and successful experience.

Many people say that has Dubai become very tolerant and you will see women wearing clothes that leave very little for imagination, but in my opinion we should always respect local culture and consider how your dress can be perceived.

2. Be open-minded and flexible. Dubai is a fast-paced, ever-changing city, and it's important to be open-minded and adaptable when it comes to dating. Be willing to try new things and be open to different cultures and lifestyles. That being said, it is worth to consider, that even though cultural and religious differences can be interesting to explore, long term potential of these differences should be discussed before getting too serious. Being clear about your own values and expectations when dating also helps navigating differences in life styles and cultural backgrounds.

3. Utilize online dating apps and websites. With a large expat population, many people in Dubai turn to online dating apps and websites to find love. Popular options include Tinder, Bumble and Inner Circle. Be sure to use a recent, high-quality photo of yourself and be honest about what you're looking for in a relationship. Don't spend too much time chatting and rather meet up as soon as possible to see if you click. It is worth mentioning that a relationship cannot be real until you have not met in person. That being said, beware of scammers and even though Dubai is a safe city, personal safety should be always considered highest priority and I recommend letting your friends know when meeting with strangers.
